As another Staten Island Burger King closes, how many locations are left here?

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If you’re a South Shore Burger King fan hankering for a late-night Whopper and some some flame-grilled fries, you’re out of luck: The lights are out, and the grill is closed at another Staten Island Burger King outpost – this one located right outside the Staten Island Mall in New Springville.

Signage was stripped from the BK location at 2557 Richmond Ave. earlier this week, portions of the drive-thru have been demolished, and the inside of the restaurant appears to be in the process of a complete gut. And while the address has been removed from Burger King’s website as a participating location, the company did not respond to requests for information about whether the shutdown is temporary or permanent.
