As Staten Island’s first Crumbl Cookies prepares to open Friday, here’s what customers can expect

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Get ready cookie lovers. Staten Island’s first Crumbl Cookies will host its grand opening celebration Friday, and there will be swag, merch and plenty of chocolate chips. The party starts at 8 a.m. in South Shore Commons, located at 2955 Veterans Rd. West in Charleston, and will continue until midnight.

If you’ve never visited a Crumbl before, here’s what you can expect:

  • It’s an open kitchen concept. The front of the store is small – there’s no seating and just enough room to accommodate ordering and pick-up. But the location features an open kitchen concept, allowing customers to see all of the cookie magic unfold. Get ready to witness measuring, mixing, rolling, baking and more.
  • There’s only six varieties. Crumbl’s menu rotates weekly – only six varieties are offered in-store, with five flavors “dropping” every Sunday on all of the company’s social media accounts. The sixth flavor, which is ALWAYS available, is the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk. It’s 190 calories per serving, which is one quarter of a cookie, if you’re counting; 760 if you eat the whole thing.
  • Prices are steep, but the product is BIG. One cookie will run you $4.88, a four-pack is $15.90 and a six-pack costs $24. More than a $1 savings per cookie is applied if you buy a party box, which gets you 12 cookies for $41.63. But each cookie is more than 4 inches in diameter and weighs more than 5.5 ounces. It is suggested that you slice each one into four pieces and share.
  • Cookies, milk and water is all they serve. Cookies and milk are literally the only things on the Crumbl menu. Bottled water is available for $2.95 and containers of regular or chocolate milk are priced at $1.99.
  • Catering is offered. Crumbl offers trays of cookies for events and parties. Both mini and regular sizes are available in varieties of 50 or more. Orders require at least three days notice.
  • The store is closed every Sunday, but will stay open late on Friday and Saturday. All Crumbl…
