Grammy-nominated, singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha walked off mid-performance at Sports Illustrated’s “The Party” Presented by Captain Morgan in Las Vegas, after complaining about technical issues, as reported by TMZ.
Rexha was originally born in Brooklyn but moved to Staten Island when she was six years old. She attended Tottenville High School and was part of the choir, as well as many plays during her time there. She graduated in 2007.
In a video from the performance, Rexha is in the middle of singing, before stopping the performance. She’s heard saying in the video, “Hold up, hold up. XS I love you but you gotta figure out the f—ing mic system.”
Before the show, TMZ spoke to Rexha during the red carpet event at “The Party.” She didn’t sound too confident about hitting the stage. When asked by the reporter, “You ready to rock this show?” her response was a timid, “No.”
Rexha had lost $3,000 gambling earlier that same day, according to TMZ, possibly causing her more stress than she originally let on during her brief interview.

Before storming off the stage, Rexha yells in her mic, “How is it f—ing Las Vegas and there’s no good f—ing sound system?”
Right after, the camera zooms in just in time to see Rexha walk off the stage.
Earlier last year, Rexha was injured during a performance at Pier 17 in NYC after a 27-year-old New Jersey man threw a phone at her because he “thought it would be funny.”
Nicolas Malvagna, the man accused of throwing the phone, may be sentenced to only 40 days of community service for his assault charges, provided he adheres to a six-month order of protection according to Rolling Stone.
