Jackson Mahomes is pretty, well known in the sports world and he is a polarizing figure.
He is the brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion, and he has had a tendency to produce some cringe worthy social media content.
But he was arrested Wednesday for something that goes way beyond cringe. Because, according to multiple reports, the 22-year-old was taken into custody and booked into jail by the Johnson Cunty Sheriff’s Office after reportedly being charged with battery and three counts of battery and aggravated sexual battery.
This comes after police said in March they were investigating Mahomes for two incidents that took place on Feb. 25 at Aspen’s Restaurant and Lounge, located in a suburb of Kansas City, per USA Today.
Jackson Mahomes was accused in February of shoving a 19-year-old male waiter before “forcibly” kissing Aspen Vaughn, 40, the female owner of Aspen’s Restaurant and Lounge, according to the Kansas City Star.
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” Vaughn told The Star. “And, I’m telling him, pushing him off saying, ‘What are you doing?’”
Vaughn said Mahomes then forcibly kissed her twice more.
“The last time I was pushing him off, and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door,” Vaughn told the newspaper. “And I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.”
According to a report by the Kansas City Star in February, Jackson Mahomes showed up at the restaurant on Feb. 25 at around 9:30 p.m.. At some point, the group went to a VIP room upstairs, and Vaughn reportedly smelled marijuana and asked them to stop smoking. Mahomes is then accused of asking to speak to Vaughn about shoving the waiter, in her office. That is when she says he grabbed and forcibly kissed her.
The Star said Vaughn said Mahomes left her with a faint bruise.
