‘Business is booming’ for Forest Avenue bars, restaurants during Staten Island St. Patrick’s Parade

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Bars and restaurants along Forest Avenue appeared busier than ever Sunday afternoon during the 60th Staten Island St. Patrick’s Parade.

But with temperatures surpassing 60 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, families flocked to enjoy the festivities in West Brighton.

Along with massive crowds of onlookers, thousands of thirsty patrons headed to local bars and restaurants to enjoy music, drinks and, for the outdoor parties, a little bit of sun.

“I’m really happy to see so many people out here at businesses and it’s just a lot of good vibes,” McEwen said.

She expressed similar hope that Forest Avenue bars will see a huge number of customers come March 17.
