Staten Island’s CHSAA Softball Division held its annual dinner for the first time in four years on Monday and the Island players who earned All-League status, team MVP and other awards were revealed during the gala at at LiGreci’s Staaten.
The Island’s varsity All-League receipients included St. Joseph Hill’s Julia Rimshnick; Notre Dame Academy’s Olivia Pagano; Moore Catholic’s Alyssa Watson, Leanna Chow and Jordan Felci and St. Joseph by-the-Sea’s Giana Scotti and Ashley Weisenstein.
The varsity team Most Valuable Players awards went to Moore Catholic’s Felci and Chow; Sea’s Scotti and Weisenstein; NDA’s Hope Uzzle and Julia Donello and Hill’s Rimshnick and Jessica Martin.
Senior Scholar awards went to Moore’s Julia Guzman, Sea’s Christine Girellini, NDA’s Alex Sheehan and Hill’s Kelly Bruen.

Hill’s Riley Cammarano, Sea’s Caitlin McTiernan, NDA’s Caroline Bifalco and Moore’s Watson earned the Most Improved Player Award.
The Peggy Ryan Sportsmanship Awards went to NDA’s Olivia Sandberg, Hill’s Emma O’Neill, Moore’s Victoria Gallucci and Sea’s Dannie Maklari.
Finally, the Sue Shepherd Leadership Award, which is presented each year to a varsity student-athlete from each school who represents herself and school with high character, puts the team before herself and always leads by example, went to Moore’s Felci, Sea’s Sam Hansen, NDA’s CeCe Dulligan and Hill’s Kayla Montemarano.
