Crash on Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge causes delays on Tuesday afternoon

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Delays are reported on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge Brooklyn-bound on Tuesday afternoon due to crash.

The accident shortly before 1 p.m. is on the upper level of the span, according to a post on the MTA website.

A lane is blocked during the emergency response according to an alert by the MTA at about 12:50 p.m.

Traffic is backed up to at least Hylan Boulevard on the Staten Island Expressway, according to Google Maps.
