STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — About 100 residents rallied at the migrant shelter in Midland Beach Friday evening expressing their displeasure with elected officials for permitting the development of the migrant shelter in what was once a senior living home.
Protestors brandishing signs and banners of red, white, and blue, took to Father Capodanno Boulevard. Joining the assembly of Staten Islanders were figures such as Republican State Sen. Andrew Lanza, John Tobacco and artist activist Scott LoBaido.
