STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire at a home in Charleston early on Thursday morning.
About 60 firefighters and 12 units responded to the “all-hands” blaze on the second floor of 151 Gladwin St. near Veterans Road East, according to a post on the FDNY Twitter feed.
The fire caused significant damage to the back of the semi-attached home where burnt debris is scattered in the backyard. Windows are busted in the front of the home.
A marked NYPD car is stationed outside the home.
