STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Twelve units comprising 60 firefighters responded to a call of a warehouse fire in West Brighton Saturday night.
The all-hands blaze was reported just after 9:30 p.m. on the second story of a two-story building located at 1016 Castleton Ave. and Broadway, an FDNY spokesperson said.
The fire was brought under control by around 10:15 p.m. and no injuries were reported, the spokesperson said.
A second story window of the building could be seen charred and broken out, while a section of a metal garage door appeared cut away. A member of the NYPD could be seen sitting in a police vehicle at the location.
The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation, the spokesperson said.
