STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Muslim Sisters of Staten Island (MSSI) will be hosting a Qurbani and Produce Giveaway on Saturday, July 15.
There will be fresh lamb and beef, vegetables, and fruits for pickup at two different sites on Staten Island.
Site 1: Masjid Al-Ihsan, 406 St. Marks Place, noon to 2 p.m.
Site 2: Majid Al-Wadood, 2020 Victory Blvd., 2 to 4 p.m.
“The giveaway is expected to feed 200 families on the Island,” Saffiyyah Abdul-Qawiyy, founding board member of MSSI, said.
The food giveaway operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is sponsored by Islamic Relief USA and a local Staten Islander who chooses to remain anonymous.
