Former tee-ball coach sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing a child: report

MONTGOMERY, TX — A former Little League baseball coach will spend the rest of his life behind bars after he was convicted of sexually abusing a child, according to Houstonโ€™s KPRC-TV.

Larry Cole, 63, was found guilty on Wednesday and was sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutors alleged that Cole may have sexually abused more than a dozen boys between 2005-2015.

The first victim came forward in 2015 and in 2017 Cole pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two boys between 2005-2006, according to KPRC. He copped a plea deal and served just five years of probation in addition to registering as a sex offender.

In the latest case, the district attorneyโ€™s office alleged that Cole used toys, money, games, and even his own children to lure others to his home. Cole also reportedly distributed alcohol to minors.

โ€œMy son cried out when he graduated high school and he had an abuse problem with drugs and alcohol,โ€ one mom reportedly told KPRC. โ€œWe found out that this man was giving our kids alcohol without us knowing.โ€

โ€œIt wasnโ€™t just my child. Right now, we are finding out there was minimum of five or six and we know there is more out there,โ€ another parent said.

One mother even said Cole snuck into her sonโ€™s bedroom in the middle of the night.

โ€œThere is no doubt there is more out there,โ€ a father of one of Coleโ€™s victims said. โ€œIโ€™m going to guesstimate thereโ€™s some more young men that are out there that are afraid to say something because of their age in life now, but itโ€™s alright to come forward. Everybody needs to have justice and have that clear piece of mind.โ€

KPRC reported that Cole will be eligible for parole in 30 years.
