Giants will wear throwback uniforms in 2 games this season

The New York Giants will showcase their classic blue uniforms twice this year, they announced Wednesday.

The throwback uniforms will be worn Week 7 against the Washington Commanders and Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers.

The Giants also wore the uniforms twice during the 2022 season.

Here’s the Giants PR description of the uniforms: The classic uniform, which the team wore from 1980-99, starts at the top with the return of the navy helmet, providing a base for the white facemask, solid scarlet red stripe, classic numbers, side decals, and a raised wordmark – all reminiscent of the ‘80s and ‘90s style. Meanwhile, the red and blue trim on the jerseys and pants are all done in a color palette from that era.

The Giants included a highlight video of the team in the uniforms as part of their announcement.
