He’s ‘The King of Queens,’ but loved his ribeye lunch – on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — West Shore Inn received a particularly special patron Thursday afternoon. Around 2 p.m. Kevin James of “The King of Queens” fame stopped in for a bite at the Travis restaurant.

Owner Mike Strickland said a daytime server spotted the actor and comedian. The proprietor, on the other hand, was tending to his soon-to-open eatery, Strickland Steaks, in Woodbridge. Upon hearing the news, he headed to 3955 Victory Blvd.
