STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wind restrictions are in effect on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge Tuesday night as heavy gusts make getting across the span a bit harrowing.
Due to the high winds, empty tractor trailers and tandem trailers are prohibited from using the bridge.
All trucks are being directed to use the lower level, the MTA said in an alert.
