STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two pedestrians were struck by a hit-and-run driver at a Greenridge intersection Tuesday evening, police said.
The incident occurred at around 5:10 p.m. at Arthur Kill Road and Drumgoole Road, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.
A 51-year-old man and a 6-year-old girl were in the crosswalk, walking westbound on Arthur Kill Road, when they were allegedly struck by a black Jeep Cherokee making a left from Arthur Kill Road onto Drumgoole Road, according to police.
Both victims were transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze in stable condition, while the driver in the Jeep allegedly fled westbound towards the Korean War Veterans Parkway, police said.
There have been no arrests and an investigation is ongoing, the spokeswoman said.
