The Critics’ Choice Award-winning series, “Married at First Sight,” is heading to Denver, Colorado for the first time during its 17th season and it’s all set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023 on Lifetime.
IMDB playfully describes the reality series as one where “[t]he cart comes way before the horse.” The show’s stars participate in “an extreme experiment” by marrying someone that they have never met.
“Specialists — including a spiritualist, a relationship coach and a sociologist — use scientific matchmaking methods” to pair up the participants, who are then filmed during their attempt at wedded life. At the end of the season they couples decide if they will stay together.
The site says the show is based on a hit Danish format.
