Catch “V.C. Andrews’ Dawn” in a four-part limited series, with the first episode set to premiere Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. CT.
It is based on the author’s “Dawn” series — perhaps not quite as infamous as her “Flowers in the Attic” books, but equally as shocking. The story, published as a novel in 1990, was started by V. C. Andrews and finished by Andrew Neiderman after her death.

ABOUT ‘DAWN’
The story follows Dawn Longchamp (Brec Bassinger), who, after growing up in humble surroundings with her devoted father Ormand (Jesse Metcalfe) and older brother Jimmy (Khobe Clarke), suddenly has everything she loves ripped away from her.
According to the Lifetime website, after discovering the shocking truth about the people who raised her, Longchamp is thrust into a new family whose dark and twisted secrets change the course of her life forever.
Donna Mills, Joey McIntyre and Fran Drescher also star in the show.
