MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Qadir Martin poured in a game-high 23 points, including a pivotal dunk down the stretch, as St. Peter’s notched fifth place in the Beach Ball Classic Traditional Division via a 56-54 victory over Georgia powerhouse Norcross HS Saturday at the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Convention Center.
Martin, the reigning co-Jaques Award winner, also grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked five shots for the Eagles, who ended the tourney with a 2-1 mark to improve to 9-3 overall. Norcross, meanwhile, is Georgia’s 18th-ranked team and the Peach State’s 2022 state champions.
