The pros and cons of Susan Wagner and Curtis’ jump from the Staten Island PSAL and the now-defunct Staten Island HS League to the super-competitive PSAL Brooklyn/Staten Island II division have been well documented.
The Falcons have had a ton of success making the jump in their initial season, defeating defending PSAL city champ Eagle Academy for Young Men II and runner-up Thomas Jefferson, while playing close games with perennial powers South Shore and Lincoln HS. Joe Coscia’s club currently sits in third-place in the rugged, physical division’s standings as the regular season winds down.
