Staten Island Academy pushed its record to 3-2 on the young season with a convincing 62-33 non-league victory over the visiting Brooklyn Friends School.
The Tigers limited BFS to 15 first-half points, as the hosts raced to a 12-point halftime lead before extending their lead in the second half with an efficient offense and stingy defense. Two Tigers cracked double figures in scoring, as Danny Nowak netted 21 for SIA, while Shayne Gonzales chipped in with 10. Arion Draga added nine markers for the Tigers, and Richard Benvenuto and Ayden Howe combined for another 11.
