Legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight dies | What social media is saying

Legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight, who made a name for himself at Indiana University, has died at his Bloomington, Ind., home after a long illness, his family announced.

He was 83.

โ€œIt is with heavy hearts that we share that Coach Bob Knight passed away at his home in Bloomington surrounded by his family,โ€ Knightโ€™s family said in a statement.

Known as the โ€œGeneralโ€ for his fiery style of coaching, he won 902 games at Army (1965-1971), Indiana (1971-2000) and Texas Tech (2001-08). He won three NCAA crowns with the Hoosiers, including coaching the sportโ€™s most recent undefeated team in 1976.
