An upstate Little League, which was decimated by a fire in late August, has raised $75K to rebuild for next season, according to ABC50 Now.
Massena Little League, located in Messena, N.Y., just south of the Canadian border, suffered severe damage to a structure that housed the storage unit holding all the equipment and trophies at the field as well as the leagueโs concession stand.
A Facebook post said the league used $27,000 to purchase new equipment for the leagueโs teams.

The remaining funds will go toward a new equipment building and concession stand, to purchase appliances and supplies for the stand and to buy a tractor and other field equipment.
Florida LL destroyed in hurricane holds ribbon-cutting ceremony
Fort Myers Beach Little League, ravaged by Hurricane Ian in September of 2022, is back up and running after being used as a debris site for many months, according to the News-Press.
The loop held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday that was attended by former professional and Olympic gold and silver medal softball player Jennie Finch, who also held a clinic for some of the leagueโs players.
ScottsMiracle-Gro and Major League Baseball hosted the ceremony.
According to the News-Press, โthe field was renovated through the Scotts Field Refurbishment Program Grant. Many employees of the town of Fort Myers Beach along with volunteers helped to get the field into shape as well.โ

Little League International established a Child Protection Program 25 years ago, and since the program began Little League has been committed to providing new, easy-to-implement opportunities to enhance educational efforts, strengthen background check and training requirements, and provide families and parents with the information needed to help keep their players safe.
