LIV commissioner and Hall of Fame golfer accused in sexual assault lawsuit by minor

Hall of Fame golfer and LIV CEO, Commissioner and founding member Greg Norman and his wife were named as defendants in a civil suit by a Florida girl who claims she was sexually assaulted at a party hosted by the golferโ€™s stepdaughter.

The girl and her parents are suing Norman and his wife for negligence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, ESPN said.

ESPN reported that the girl claims Kirsten Norman, the golferโ€™s wife, gave her alcohol while she was underaged at the 2021 pool part in Palm Beach County, Fla. The lawsuit says the girls was โ€œincapable of standing on her own,โ€ before she says she was sexually assaulted by two people at the party.

The lawsuit states, โ€œDefendants breached their duty of care by not safe-guarding or preventing injury to Jane Doeโ€™s health and well-being, including, but not limited to, abusive conduct by other minor invitees resultant in part from the provision of alcoholic beverages to the minor invitees.โ€

Norman could not immediately be reached for comment, ESPN said.

The complaint said the girl suffered โ€œbodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life, expenses for counseling and resulting treatment, loss of earnings, and the loss of the ability to earn money in the future.โ€ They are reportedly seeking more than $50,000 in damages.
