When South Shore and Great Kills both posted Little League District 24 10s All-Star Baseball Tournament victories on Thursday, they set themselves up for a first-place showdown in round-robin play this weekend.
The South Shore/Mid-Island game was an incredible pitcher’s duel from start-to-finish, but Adam Syed’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning finally gave host SSLL a 1-0 triumph in Tottenville.
