STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — While many fear that artificial Intelligence (AI)is a threat to their job, it is also creating a lot of career opportunities — many of which are quite lucrative.
EPC Group sought to identify the most in-demand AI jobs by looking at the number of available positions on Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest recruiting sites.
In addition, Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends were used to analyze the interest among professionals in pursuing those AI careers.
Here’s a look at the AI positions with the most available vacancies and the highest salaries, according to research conducted by EPCGroup.
AI Research Scientist: This position leads the list of in-demand AI careers, with 17,940 available positions on Glassdoor and an average salary of $132,000. This might be the reason for the 42% interest rise in this AI career, researchers say.
Machine Learning Engineer: This role takes the second spot on the list, with 6,817 available vacancies on Glassdoor. The average yearly salary for this career is $160,000, surpassing the earnings of AI research scientists. There was substantial online interest from a crowd of 20,000 individuals, the study found.
AI Engineer: The AI engineer career claims the third spot on the list, with 4,352 available jobs. Despite the fact that it pays lower (only $105,000) than the other two positions, almost 40,000 people showed interested in this position.
Big Data Engineer: The big data engineer job holds the fourth spot on the list, with 3,324 available offers on Glassdoor and an annual salary of $180,000. The interest in becoming a big data engineer has grown 14% since last year, and currently, 2,000 people are searching for this job online, the study found.
Human Integration Specialist: This role takes the fifth spot on the list, with 2,288 available jobs. The average yearly salary in this profession is $91,000.
