“Mama June: Family Crisis” returns Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at 9 p.m. EST on WE tv, with new episodes that are sure to be heart-breaking as the show documents the cancer journey of Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell, who died in December at age 29.
Cardwell was the daughter of “Mama June” Shannon, the show’s namesake. The reality star is also mother to Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Jessica Shannon and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efrid.
A spin-off show that has seen several different brands in recent years, “Mama June: Family Crisis” has been following the addiction recovery journey of June, who has been working to rebuild her family relationships.
Following Cardwell’s diagnosis, the family is forced to pull together to support her.
June said in a recent interview with People.com that she has good days and bad days since her daughter’s death.
