More than 600 guests ‘made the world a better place’ at ‘Casino Night 2024,’ to benefit the Joseph Maffeo Foundation

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On Saturday evening, a gala that brimmed with the glitz, glamour and ambiance of Las Vegas, unfolded to perfection in Nicotra’s Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn, where some 600 guests partied the night away “to make our world a better place.”

And it was all for an extremely worthy cause: The Joseph Maffeo Foundation, which was established by Linda and Keith Manfredi, Maffeo’s sister and brother-in-law, as a way honor the memory of the hero firefighter who perished during the attacks on the World Trade Center.

The organization’s mission is “To make our world a better place, by giving of yourself, by extending a hand, and by displaying a smile.”

Proceeds from “Casino Night 2024″— where elegance and sophistication reigned supreme — were directed to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Staten Island University Hospital.

The evening even came replete with eye-catching show girls donning colorful feather headdresses, and also included an Elvis impersonator, slot machines, roulette wheels, craps and blackjack tables — and plenty of casino excitement.
