N.Y. 12s Little League Tournament: South Shore, with Mike Zaccariello leading the way, gets another shot at Massapequa Coast

Some may believe in superstitions, but not South Shore manager Mike Zaccariello. The Little League lifer is back in search of another state championship and with it a trip to Bristol, Conn., for the mini four-team Metro Regional.

At stake there is a berth to the mecca — the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. Zaccariello knows all about it having taken South Shore National there during a magical summer run of baseball in 2009.
