STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As Congress and President Joe Biden continue to negotiate potential expansions of the federal Child Tax Credit, New York parents may qualify for a similar state credit that could total hundreds of dollars.
In New York, parents may be eligible for the Empire State child credit, which was expanded last year to include children under the age of 4. Previously, the credit was only available for parents with children between the ages of 4 and 17.
