STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — One lucky player secured a jackpot-winning Take 5 ticket worth more than $36,000 in New York City, according to the New York Lottery.
Lottery officials announced that the top prize-winning ticket, worth $36,249.50, was revealed during Thursday’s TAKE 5 evening drawing. The ticket was purchased at Heng Yun Food Market Inc. — located at 94 Hester St., in Manhattan.
The winning numbers for the Friday, March 7, Take 5 evening drawing were 10, 24, 27, 28 and 39.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.
The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.
The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot? One in 575,757.
A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
