N.Y. Lottery: Player wins over $34K in Take 5 jackpot prize

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A New York Lottery player recently won more than $34,000 in a TAKE 5 jackpot prize.

Lottery officials announced that the top prize-winning ticket, worth $34,127.50, was revealed during Tuesday’s TAKE 5 evening drawing. The ticket was purchased at Marty’s Party, located at 265 Pine Hollow Rd., in Oyster Bay.

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Feb. 27, TAKE 5 evening drawing were 7, 16, 18, 27 and 35.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.

The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot? One in 575,757.

A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
