STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Several prize-winning TAKE 5 tickets were sold in New York State for Wednesday’s drawings, according to the New York Lottery.
A top-prize ticket was sold for the Aug. 16 midday drawing at Express Convenience Stationary, located at 3500 White Plains Rd. in the Bronx. It sold the prize worth $18,741. The winning numbers for the Aug. 16 TAKE 5 midday drawing are 8, 9, 28, 34, and 38.
There were also winners for the Aug. 16 evening drawing — in Brooklyn and Schenectady. One winning ticket each worth $17,816.50 were sold at Victor’s Hallmark Shop located at 4 Metrotech Ctr. in Brooklyn, and Stewart’s Shops located at 1502 Balltown Rd. in Schenectady.
The winning numbers for the Aug. 16 TAKE 5 evening drawing are 5, 7, 16, 19, and 20.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 to play per game.
The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.
The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot is 1 in 575,757.
A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
