A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 11:47 p.m. for heavy snow until Sunday at 12:15 a.m. for Montgomery, Schenectady, Saratoga, Albany and Rensselaer counties.
“At 11:46 p.m., a band of heavy snow was over Center Brunswick, or near Cohoes moving east at 30 MPH,” according to the weather service.
This includes the following highways: interstate 90 between exits 26 and 27. Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 1b. Interstate 87 between exits 8A and 9.
The weather service states, “Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.”
