NY weather: Wind advisory for Cayuga County until Monday afternoon

A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 4:14 a.m. in effect until 2 p.m. for Cayuga County.

The weather service adds, “Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
