Calling all Staten Islanders competing in the NYC Marathon on Sunday: We want to hear from you — SOON after the race.
While NYC Marathon officials will provide the Advance with times of every Staten Island finisher, we are encouraging those who complete the race to email sportswriter Joe D’Amodio at [email protected] soon after the race and share any interesting details about your marathon experience.
Your tidbits will go into a NYC Marathon Notebook like the ones we have been doing for decades.
When emailing us with this interesting tidbit, please include your name, age, town, time and a comment about your finish. How many marathons — NYC and elsewhere — have you participated in and was this year a personal best? Please include your phone number in case we need to reach you. Please put NYC Marathon in the subject field.

As for our photos of the race, keep an eye out for our freelance photographer Kara Buzga, who will be stationed near the start of the race in Fort Wadsworth.
