STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 41-year-old NYPD detective was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a domestic dispute in his home community of Staten Island, police said.
Douglas MacEwen was taken into custody at 4:23 a.m. following the incident, which occurred Monday night, according to the criminal complaint and police.
A verbal dispute between MacEwen and a woman previously known to him allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
