NYPD searching for teen, 16, who escaped police custody inside 120 Precinct

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating an individual wanted for escaping police custody from the 120th Precinct Friday morning.

According to police, at 10:40 a.m., Anthony Ayala, 16, was in police custody inside 78 Richmond Terrace (120 Precinct), when he broke a window and escaped from a bathroom window.

Ayala was last seen traveling southbound on Wall Street. He is described as being approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

Ayala was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, maroon sweatpants and white slippers.

Police did not provide a photo of the individual wanted.
