NYPD touts the recovery of two guns on Staten Island — including one amid Monday’s rainstorm

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD promoted the seizure of guns in two separate incidents in the 121st Precinct on Staten Island.

During Monday’s rainstorm, an individual with a loaded gun was arrested in that precinct that includes portions of the North and West shores of Staten Island.

Sgt. Hoxha and the 121st Precinct Public Safety Team were out on patrol and allegedly recovered the gun “despite howling wind and pouring rain,” according to a post on the precinct’s X feed, formerly known as Twitter.

On Tuesday, members of the 121 Field Intelligence Team led by Sgt. Kosinski, Lt. Kuka and Sgt. Haley allegedly confiscated at loaded, 9mm pistol from a suspect.
