NYPD: Woman, 35, reported shot on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y — A woman was reportedly shot in Stapleton Friday afternoon, prompting a large NYPD response in the neighborhood.

Just after 3 p.m., 911 received a call that a female, 35, was shot in the cheek at 51 Hill St., according to a spokesperson for the NYPD.

The woman was transported by EMS to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.

The NYPD spokesperson was not immediately able to provide information about her condition.
