Pete Davidson to star in new movie ‘Riff Raff’ with Jennifer Coolidge, Dustin Hoffman, reports say

Pete Davidson is adding another film title to his long resume.

The born-and-raised Staten Islander is set to star in “Riff Raff,” according the Deadline. Joining Davidson on the roster of big-name actors are Ed Harris, Jennifer Coolidge, Dustin Hoffman, Gabrielle Union, Lewis Pullman and Miles J. Harvey.

According the IMBd, the premise of the film centers on a former criminal’s life that is “turned upside down when his old family shows up for a long-awaited reunion.”

The movie is currently filming in New Jersey. Steven Gorelick, director of the New Jersey Motion Picture and TV Commission, told Advance/SILive.com sister outlet NJ Advance Media the flick has already filmed in Bayonne, Plainfield and Orange, and is set to continue filming in Passaic, Clark and Edison through mid-December. Gorelick added the movie is budgeted at about $5.5 million.

Davidson has certainly been busy in 2023. Among his other achievements, he hosted the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live,” released the first season of his Peacock TV series, “Bupkis” — which was renewed for a second season — and has been touring the country for standup shows.

Additionally, word came another of his films, “The Home,” will hit theaters in 2024. “The Home” was written and directed by fellow Staten Islander James DeMonaco of “The Purge” franchise fame.

“Riff Raff” was written by John Pollono. Dito Montiel is credited as director, with Pollono, Chris Dennis, David Sullivan, Christian Mercuri, Patrick Hibler, Patrick Muldoon and Denise Richards listed as executive producers, according to IMDb. Sarah Gabriel, Noah Rothman, Adam Paulsen and Marc Goldberg are producing.
