Police respond to report of burglary at Staten Island home

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is investigating a report of a home burglary in Grymes Hill.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 6:15 p.m. in a residence on Grymes Hill Road, according to preliminary information provided by a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

An unidentified male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants allegedly fled the location on foot toward a cemetery in the area, the spokeswoman said.

No injuries were reported and it is unknown whether any property was taken, the spokeswoman said.

There are no suspects at this time and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
