The Advance/SILive.com decided to replay the down as far as the popular “Head Shots” poll for local high school football programs was concerned.
And this time, it was Port Richmond that emerged victorious — and by a considerably large margin, to boot.
The “Head Shots” series, of course, started in August of 2022 and has generated an abundance of interest since the majority of the pictures, which were once used to spruce up a story when we didn’t have a photographer at a game, have never been seen.
To date, we’ve done 33 slideshows on just “Head Shots” and, for the most part, regardless of which sport we’ve featured, every school has been represented.
A poll ran last week between early Monday and just before midnight Saturday on SILive.com and PR finished first with a whopping 11,054 votes — good enough for 56.94% of the total.
Monsignor Farrell finished second with 7,440 votes (38.32%) while Susan Wagner placed a distant third with 535 votes (2.76%).
The overall total was 19,413 votes.
