Registration opens for 2024 Tunnel to Towers Tower Climb in NYC

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Registration is now open for the 2024 Tunnel to Towers Tower Climb New York City.

The June 2 event presents the public its only opportunity to climb 104 stories — or 2,226 steps — from the basement of One World Trade Center to the finish line on the 102nd floor.

“Finishers are rewarded with an awe-inspiring sunrise panoramic view of lower Manhattan from the top of the building that stands as a testament to the American people’s strength, hope, and indomitable spirit,’’ stated race organizers.

Participants must reasonably expect to complete the climb, according to race organizers. Elite climbers may finish the 104-story climb in less than 15 minutes, while the average participant should take about 25 to 50 minutes to finish.

Spots are limited to 1,000 climbers, and last year’s event sold out at a record pace, according to organizers. The entry fee for the event is $100. Registration will close at midnight on Thursday, May 30, or when capacity is reached.
