Report: Siblings facing multiple charges following Christmas Eve shooting incident in Florida

A 14-year-old boy is facing murder charges after allegedly shooting his older sister to death on Christmas Eve during a family squabble, CNN is reporting.

Meanwhile, the boyโ€™s 15-year-old brother is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly shot the 14-year-old brother as retribution for shooting their sister, Abrielle Baldwin, 23, the report said.

An argument apparently began while the siblings were shopping for presents with their mother on Christmas Eve and began fighting over the 15-year-old brother, believing his brother was receiving more gifts than him, the report said.

As the argument continued at the boysโ€™ grandmotherโ€™s house, the 14-year-old brother took out a 40-caliber handgun and threatened to shoot his brother. When the sister attempted to intervene, the teen allegedly shot her in the chest. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the report said.

The 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree murder, child abuse and delinquent in possession of a firearm. The 15-year-old boy has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, the report said.
