STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — In the early hours of 2024, Staten Island welcomed a new bundle of joy, her first cries intertwining with the festive echos of New Year’s celebrations.
At 5:05 a.m. Monday, little Makah Galal was born to Brooklyn residents Neanaah and Ahmed at Richmond University Medical Center. The ray of sunshine entered the world weighing 7 pounds and measuring 20 inches in length. She is the couple’s second child.
“It’s wonderful, very wonderful,” said her proud father. The couple’s previous child is a boy, so he expressed his delight at now having the opportunity to raise both a boy and a girl. He said that Makah arrived slightly later than her expected due date.
