It was a “Super Saturday” in Sunnyside, where the Borough President Vito Fossella SIHSL Tournament quarterfinals took place. No. 1 St. Peter’s and No. 2 Susan Wagner kicked off the day with victories in the first two games of a quadruple-header at Petrides.
The Eagles (16-6) steamrolled No. 9 Moore Catholic (12-9) by a 79-59 count in the morning tilt. Qadir Martin’s workmanlike 20-and-10 effort led the charge, as STP cruised from start to finish.
