SILive.com contest winners eat their hearts out at ‘Food Truck Festival at The Mount’

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — For the second year in a row, the Advance/SILive.com gave back to our subscribers with all-you-can-eat VIP passes.

Our contest winners joined thousands of residents who turned out Saturday for “Food Truck Festival at The Mount” on the grounds of Mount Loretto in Pleasant Plains.

The three-day food fest — which is running Saturday from 12 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 8 p.m. — is organized annually by Catholic Charities of Staten Island, in conjunction with presenting sponsor Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health and community partner ShopRite.

Our Advance/SILive.com subscribers, who were selected in a random drawing, arrived with empty stomachs for this month’s SILive Experiences event.

“We’re so excited to try everything today,” said winner Daniella Caputo. “The weather is great and it should be a real fun time.”

Caputo said she’s a proud supporter who has been an exclusive SILive.com subscriber since day one.

“Since I was a kid, to the day, we still get the hard paper,” she said. “It’s the best way to get information about Staten Island.”
