STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Our annual winners, once again, ate like Italians for our VIP giveaway at “Festa Italiana” on Sunday!
The winners were: Arthur Stimus, Lori Ernst, Monica Squeri and Lorraine Amundson.
Ernst and Stimus attended the event, and the Advance/SILive.com subscribers sampled a myriad of Italian eats and sweets at Mount Loretto in Pleasant Plains, as a “thank you” from us.

Ernst and the rest of our winners sampled delicious bites from Montalbano’s Sausage and Peppers truck, the mouth-watering fried zeppoles stand and many other Italian specialities on hand.
“I was looking forward to something to do this weekend,” said SILive.com/Advance subscriber Arthur Stimus, of New Springville. “I’m kind of celebrating my birthday and retirement here today.”

Claire Atalla, CEO of Catholic Charities of Staten Island, greeted our winners and thanked them for attending the charitable event.
Ernst said this sweepstakes win was a great parting gift for her and her family.

“We’re moving to Florida very soon,” she said. “So this was a beautiful chance to celebrate the Advance and Staten Island before we go.
“But I’ll keep on reading,” she added.
