Slow-moving storm knocks out power for some on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Hundreds of homes on Staten Island lost power Sunday night after a slow-moving storm moved through the borough.

Con Edison said multiple outages in New Springville affected approximately 750 homes as of 10:40 p.m. The company’s outage map indicated around 150 homes remained without power at 11 p.m.

The estimated time of restoration for the majority of the remaining homes is midnight, according to Con Edison.
